V-Express Steam Train with Tender is here to take you on a journey of innovations and technology. Getting its inspiration from the Victorian Age of inventions, UGears created this fascinating steam locomotive model; an iconic symbol, commencing the beginning of global industrial transformation.

The exquisitely detailed design of V-Express allows you to observe the beauty of moving elements. Shacks and gears, the flywheel and the cylinder-piston arrangement; all these features make UGears V-Express look like a real locomotive.

Like all UGears mechanical transportation models, the V-Express is operated by a self-propelled motor, allowing the Train to move on its own. A single wind of the Train engine produces enough power to run up to 13 feet. The V-Express Steam Train operates on 3 settings: forward, back and idle. The “back” setting allows the Train to roll backward and automatically hook up with the Tender. The Tender, though designed as a part of the V-Express Steam Train with Tender model, is no less exciting and worth mentioning on an individual note. Designed based on the past century coal car, it is a fully functioning model, equipped with moving with elements like a locking hatch and dropping sides.

This was my first build and won\'t be my last as a matter of fact I have already ordered my next kit. Kit has every thing needed to complete the build but I would recommend a small sanding block, small file and a pair of pliers. Wonderful quality, great price, great customer service.

This was my second model build. Looks great. Wheels functioned (moved) as required but could not internal gears to move. Not enough wax?! Highly recommend watching Youtube videos which are extremely helpful. Looking forward to building additional UGears models.

I would recommend this to a friend!
Ordered this at the same time when I ordered my 1st kit, the Theatre. At 538 parts I knew this would be more of a challenge but so far it's been great. I did manage to break one piece, but a simple EMail and a replacement is on it's way. This did not stop me from continuing, and so far I'm up to page 18, step 2; which is as far as I can go without the replacement part. I have about 12 hours into it so far, but I'm not rushing. Some parts are pretty small and seem fragile, so I'm taking my time popping them out of the boards. It's all coming together, thanks to the great colorful manual. I did find it helpful to bring up the PDF instruction document and then enlarging it on the screen to see some additional details. Also, waxing the toothpicks and other parts make things slightly easier to assemble. I'm having a great tie with these and I'm already planning my next order!

Just finished this V-Express Steam Train With Tender. It definitely draws attention displayed. I built a 2' long set of rails from pine with walnut ties to set it on the entertainment center. Added some brass rails to the tender and engine. Also added a LED front light. Runs in both directions well on the 8' of tracks included in the kit but built the 2' section so the rails and ties looked more realistic. My building time was quite long but was not on any time schedule. Also added twin "short" exhaust stacks.
