How UGears Locomotive + Railway Platform + Rails Works

Like all the Ugears vehicle models, Locomotive is driven by a power of rubber bands and a gear array, unlike the real steam engine that uses superheated steam. Other than that, Locomotive main mechanism looks and operates just like a real-life steam train. Up close you can observe the system of visibly functioning asynchronous pistons and valves connected to drive wheels through moving rods and linkages creating a beautiful working example of steam engine operations. Railway Platform complimenting Locomotive with a beautiful Victorian-era rail station, Railway Crossing featuring a pair of crossing gates that raise and lower at the touch of a lever, and 13ft of Rails complete our complex, yet most popular model to date. Nonetheless, with easy to understand step-by-step instructions and quality design it can be fully assembled in a single setting. A perfect gift for model train enthusiasts.

Best value! Great value. The set makes more sense when sold together rather than all pieces separate ( after all, what would I do with 4 meters of rails if I don't own a train?).

Great deal! My wife and I own a small tory store and we wanted to purchase a couple of vehicle models to decorate a window display for the purpose of attraction. Then we came across this train set and bought it instead. What an excellent idea this was. An assembled model is very appealing and draws a lot of attention, especially with train chugging along the rails in full gears.
