On Wednesday evening, December 21, after talks with US President Joe Biden at the White House, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the Capitol to deliver a speech at a joint meeting of both houses of the US Congress. Starting his speech, the President of Ukraine noted that it was a great honor for him to speak within the walls of the American Congress. He said that Ukraine is already winning over Russia on the battlefield and will continue to win the same victories, given the great support of Ukrainian friends and partners, primarily the United States. Mr Zelenskiy says that this is a battle not only for territory, for this or that part of Europe. The battle is not only for the life, freedom and security of Ukrainians or any other country that Russia is trying to conquer. This fight will determine what kind of world our children and grandchildren will live in… It will determine whether it will be a democracy for Ukrainians, for Americans, for everyone.
For 10 months Ukraine has been fighting for the freedom of the country and for the life of its citizens. Thank you to all residents of the United States and other countries of the world for supporting us against russian terror for 305 days.
