UGears introduces its next model in the line of luxury mechanical vehicle models, The Dream Cabriolet VM-05. This miniature replica of iconic 1950s blissful convertible cars invites you on a journey to the era of poodle skirts, Rock’n’Roll and pivotal changes in the automotive industry.

The Dream Cabriolet VM-05 features traditional for all UGears mechanical models recognizable design and a signature rubber-band mechanism that provides for model’s self-motion.  Exquisite detailing of exterior and beautiful and realistic design of the Cabriolet are complimenting the vehicle’s fully-functioning V-8 configuration engine that provides for the model’s forward and reverse movement. To take a look inside, set the vehicle on “idle” mode and enjoy the magic or working drives and gears.

In addition to self-motion the Cabriolet’s features smooth movement that is ensured by traditional for 1950s vehicles front wheel springs and rear leaf springs.

How UGears Dream Cabriolet VM-05 Works

The Dream Cabriolet VM-03 features several design elements that make an incredible resemblance of this model to iconic 1950s luxury convertible vehicles. You will definitely appreciate a fully functioning steering wheel, moving window cranks and windshield wipers, trunk and hood opening mechanisms, reclining front seats and more.

To set the model in motion, wind the wheel mechanism located in the trunk of the model, release the lever and enjoy your Cabriolet VM-05 smooth ride!

    I really enjoyed building this car. It took time and was challenging at times but overall the build turned out great. The shipping was quick and packed perfectly, the quality of wood was spot on, and the colored instructions make for an easier-to-follow guide than some of the others I have done in the past. I would highly recommend this product if you are patient and can follow the directions you should be good.

    I consider myself a fairly experienced builder; so far I\'ve built 13 or so models with my current (in process) being the sailboat. By far the VM-05 is my favorite and get the most attention when people see them. Highly recommend these little gems. Yes, they take a little time to build but once you see the finished product they are great!

    My wife surprised me with the gift of the Dream Cabriolet. Opening the box I thought, Gee, I don\'t know if I can do this. Once the building began, I quickly got the hang of it. The instructions were clear, thankfully, and at certain points, I augmented them with notes of my own. It was challenging as several times I realized I had made minor mistakes and had to backtrack. But what a feeling of satisfaction once the Dream Cabriolet was finished. I proudly displayed my work to family and friends. I am hooked now!

    This was my third Ugears Model. The Design, Engineering and Manufacturing was excellent. Took my time and did about 1-2 hrs per day and found the experience both relaxing and challenging from a problem solving standpoint. It looks really cool. Have done 5 more models since then. Perfect for Covid - 19 stay at home orders.

    This is by far the most rewarding model I\\\'ve built so far. This is my 8th model from UGears and everyone has been a joy. This specific model was certainly the most challenging, but if you take your time it\\\'s a beauty to behold. Now I just need to start thinking of a larger display shelf! Oh, this was my last completed model; currently working on the Big Rig Tractor.I\\\'ve updated with a few pictures of models I\\\'ve completed. I\\\'ve done others that I\\\'ve given away as gifts.

    Halfway through completing this outstanding model. It is brilliant so well and cleverley designed - how do they do this. A major pat on the back for the instruction manual it is like the several other ugear models I have made a major achievement- so many firms try to save money here- not ugears.
