Ugears is proud to present ‘Moto Compact folding scooter’ – a smart, spring-powered arrival to our already impressive collection of DIY mechanical models with two wheels. A motor scooter is many young people’s first personal means of transport with an engine. It embodies freedom, flexibility, a cool way to commute to university, hobbies, growing up. It’s a way to reach places beyond the area where you were raised. This feeling of excitement will be revived when you assemble this cute folding scooter.
Motorized scooters gained popularity when Audrey Hepburn rode Gregory Peck’s famous Vespa (Italian for ‘wasp’) scooter through the streets of Rome in the award-winning film ‘Roman Holiday’. Even though the car-faithful North America embraced scooters half-heartedly, they remain an essential means of transport in many regions of the world, such as Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Despite its size, the Moto Compact folding scooter 3D puzzle boasts considerable power. The plywood model is pushed forward by a spring-powered engine. It is able to travel up to six feet on one wind-up. The handlebars can be put in one of three positions to have your Moto go straight, or curve right or left. Like most Ugears models, the Moto Compact scooter is full of amazing features, such as rear and front suspension, as well as a staggering capability to fold.
In order to fold up the Moto Compact, hold the front and rear parts of the scooter and push them together. It also hides the handlebars to their hidden position. The scooter folded this way can be placed into a pocket and taken away, or it can stay on the kickstand, flipping down from its left side.
Want to start your scooter? Grab and pull the rear and front sections apart, which lifts the handlebars. Pressing the driver’s seat down activates the ‘stop’ mechanism. Now use the ratchet knob on the right side of the bike to start the engine. Pull up the kickstand and use the tiny guide wheels under the scooter for enhanced balance. Place the model on some smooth surface (i.e. floor), then press the ‘start’ button – the passenger seat at the back. The driver’s seat pops up and starts the main gear. Let go and observe your scooter ride away!
The Moto Compact folding scooter will be fancied by anyone who is in love with two-wheeled things: motorbikes, bikes, (motor)scooters. Jointly with Ugears Bike, a classic cruiser, and the Scrambler, a dual-sport motorbike, it constitutes the Ugears family of DIY plywood bike models. If you know kids who are in love with bikes, the Moto Compact folding scooter will be a great gift for their next birthday. The Ugears Moto Compact features 192 parts, has ‘Medium’ difficulty rating, and is a great DIY puzzle of moderate difficulty for all mechanical model lovers.
