Retro Car UGR-T
Assemble me. Drive the legend!
The Retro Car UGR-T pays homage to the dawn of the automobile age. Ugears' team of engineers and designers have developed a special, classic car model to take you back to that age. To operate the Retro Car UGR-T, set the Start/Stop button to "Stop" as you wind the spring-powered motor using the built-in ratchet key under the chassis. Place the model on a flat surface as you hold it with one hand, press "Start," then release and watch it go. The car has Forward, Neutral, and Reverse gears.
Early handbuilt cars came in a variety of colors (but black paint dried faster)! You can choose to leave your Retro Car UGR-T in its attractive natural wood state, paint or stain it in your own original color scheme or paint it black. The Retro Car UGR-T model will appeal to fans of historic cars, car modeling enthusiasts and people who love a good 3D puzzle. This DIY wooden car model is a great holiday, birthday, or anytime gift, a stylish addition to any interior, and promises hours of fun assembly and imaginative play.

Let's go Retro! Fantastic 3D functional puzzle. Folding roof, it moves forward and reverse! Great model! Ugears models are the Best!
I am still working on it but am very happy with it .
Good quality and service
I had this box sitting on a shelf for over a year. Finally built it. My 8th project. Definitely very advanced. Loved every minute of the build. But something is wrong with the spring. I finally got it in correctly and the car won't move. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Bonjour,
C'est la deuxième construction que je fais, et c'est toujours un vrai bonheur
Fantastic model, great fun but like some of the other builders I had trouble getting the gears to move easily even though I put plenty of wax on. Also I had an issue with the spring. Mine started to slip soon after I had finished it because there is a design fault with the way the centre pin doesn't lock the spring properly. I'm going to have to try to find a way to lock it. Alan
Buenos días UGEARS.me gusta mucho estoy esta maqueta gracias UGEARS a seguir así todo perfecto.
I published my second review recently, stating that the spring-loaded cars models did not propel as described. I had been hopeful for feedback. The moving parts were carefully waxed; I see no fault on my part.
Craig Simpson.
Like my review of the Rapid Mouse, not published, although I was even more careful in this build, this vehicle also did not perform is described ie the spring did not release to drive the wheels. I did have fun building it, but wonder where I am going wrong, if at all.
Love that car, and love building it. I also like the convertible top, very unique. Very very nice love it.
A thoroughly enjoyable build. The finished car looks cool and was an interesting and fair challenge to complete. It even has features they don’t mention like the lever to open the boot.( trunk for Americans!)
One plea Ugears! You are an excellent company, constantly innovating and developing despite all that is happening in the Ukraine. How come then, you are still using the yellow elastic bands? Here in Spain, they seldom last more than a few months before disintegrating , meaning difficult re- builds. Can you include something more substantial?
A minor gripe that doesn’t detract much from a five star kit
Again I am blown away by this model. As my says “it is so cute”. I love the detail especially the fabric roof and how it will retract. Also the speed at which this model runs is much slower than my other models as it should be. Not sure if this is by design or not but it is perfect!!!!
Very beautiful model and looks great. But unfortunately even after having scrupulously assembled the car, it remains totally blocked, the spring relaxes jerkily and cannot move the car forward
In my opinion, one of the best retro car models in the Ugears line. A lot of mechanics, an interesting, realistic option for opening the roof, a crackling motor and much more. Review can be viewed on the channel Incredible Gears.
I have assembled several UGears cars and this may be the cutest one. It was nice to not have to use any toothpicks. My one criticism is the design of the axis for the spring. As designed it will not fit the shape of the center of the spring. I solved this problem by leaving off one curved pieces that forms the axis piece. This creates a flat area that fits the spring.
Having great difficulty in assembling spring as detailed on page 11 & 12 of the assembly instructions forRetro Car UGR-T
Is there a video showing assembly instructions as can be seen for other of your models on "YouTube" If the spring is an alternative to elastic bands, please revert to elastic bands for future models.
Await your response

HELP
I purchase these for my 89 year old dad, who loves building these, this is his second build, the first was the UGM 11 truck, I have purchased the express train, there a lot of fun to build. Hats off to the engineer for his designs. I like the coil spring wind up better than the rubber bands, especially on the train. I can't wait to get one. Your customer service is awesome, I broke a part and there sending me a new.
Thank you again for hours of bonding with my dad and having fun building something so awesome.
I think this is my 18th build and one of my favorites.
I have the Sky Watcher table clock to build next and then the Dragster (am waiting on a part that I broke).
The spring assembly was a tad challenging but the Retro Car was a very fun build.
Hi just to let you no is I haven't yet started the model in question, all I have to say about your designs they are fantastic
Yours sincerely
